Safety:
Driver safety is no place to cut corners in a race budget.  A top of the line cage was crafted to protect the driver.  Other top of the line FIA approved items were also chosen to protect the driver.

Parts:
	Electronic Battery Disconnect Description: Electronic power kill switch Benefits: This switch is FIA approved and used in F1.  In addition to the main kill switch any number or remote kill switches can be implemented.  This means that you do not have to run heavy battery cable to multiple kill switches.  The switch has an auxiliary poll set that can be used to interrupt power to peripheral devices such as an alternator.
	3" 6pt Harness Description: FIA compliant 6pt race harness Benefits: This sturdy race harness is used in F1 and other race series.  Such belts are a mandatory safety feature in most race series.  The dual (or single) sub strap helps prevent the driver from sliding out from under the lap belt.
	Long Eye Bolt Description: 1/2" 50mm long eye bolt for securing safety harnesses Benefits: This heavy duty eye bolt when securely mounted with the 4" x 4" steel backing plate creates a strong anchor for the lap belts and sub straps.
	4" x 4" Steel Backing Plate Description: SCCA compliant backing plate Benefits: This wide steel plate will help reduce the chance of the eyebolt pulling through the thin sheet metal of the floor pan in the event of an accident.
	SPA 11lb Halon Description: Neutral gas fire extinguisher Benefits: The heavy gas displaces the oxygen needed to fuel the fire.  The gas leaves no residue or foam behind after being fired.  It can also displace the oxygen needed for the driver.  A deep breath is recommended before triggering the system.  While Halon is FIA approved the US DOT will not allow it to be shipped.  Nozzles are hard piped to the driver's foot well and the engine compartment.
	Tow Strap Description: BMW Motorsport tow strap. Benefits: SCCA and BMWCCA club racing rules specify that tow hooks may not protrude past the bumper.  Moreover, the tow hook (if used must be attached to the bumper.  On a BMW it is impossible to have the factory tow hooks installed and not protrude past the bumpers.  This retractable tow strap eliminates the need for tow hooks and complies with the rules requirements. 	Window Net Description: Woven net that covers the drivers side window opening. Benefits: Keeps the driver's arms from being thrown through the window opening and also helps prevent large debris from entering the car while allowing safety workers easy access to the driver.
