that how fast a car can go what matters is how quickly it can stop.
Braking into turns with consistent performance (no fade) can make all the
difference in your entry speed. Most road races are won or lost in
the turns. Most of the stock braking system has been replaced on the
Racepad M3. New pedals, master cylinders, BMW Motorsport ABS, custom
ABS harness and a big brake kit based on the Porsche 993 Twin Turbo all
add up to an impressive braking system.
The BMW braking system is excellent and more than sufficient for most
race conditions. The extra steps were taken in this project to
experiment with new limits and test new new technology combinations.
The car is engineered to handle endurance races and to be competitive with
other modified cars of its class. |
